Purpose of the job

In this role, you will be involved in both operational coordination and team guidance. You work closely with different departments and ensure that daily processes run according to plan, while also keeping an eye on performance, safety, and improvement opportunities.

  • Coordinate daily warehouse tasks and allocate work across the team;
  • Lead daily start-up meetings and monitor progress and key performance indicators (KPIs), such as timely inbound and outbound processes (GR/GI)
  • Plan staffing levels, request temporary workers when needed, and ensure accurate registration of working hours;
  • Support and contribute to ongoing projects, identify improvement opportunities, and participate in Lean and 5S initiatives;
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
  • Guide and support team members through evaluations, feedback sessions, and absence management in cooperation with HR;

Profile

This position requires a mix of practical experience, leadership skills, and a structured approach to work. The ideal candidate can balance operational involvement with people management, while contributing to continuous improvement and a positive team culture

Must-haves

  • Bachelor’s-level education (HBO) or thinking level, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics and/or warehousing, including team leadership experience.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel and experienced in working with WMS systems.
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of Lean, 5S methodologies, and in possession of/or willing to obtain MHE certifications.
