Purpose of the job

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities while ensuring operational excellence and long-term process improvements. You will act as the central link between teams, service providers, and management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Warehouse Operations: Organize and direct warehouse activities, set operational priorities for supervisors, monitor KPIs and forecasts, and implement improvements and cost-saving projects.

  • Support Operations: Conduct regular meetings with logistics service providers and employment agencies, lead LEAN meetings, support QHSE strategy execution, and act as the main contact for internal departments.

  • Assure Operational Efficiency: Drive and lead projects that translate business needs into efficient operational processes, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

  • Development Projects: Contribute to employee development with HR, support appraisals and development processes, and participate in broader improvement initiatives within the warehouse,

Profile

  • Education: HBO (Bachelor) level in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within warehouse or SCM operations.

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication skills in Dutch and/or English.

    • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

    • Social and leadership skills to motivate and guide teams effectively.

    • Experience with ERP and WMS systems.

  • Preferred:

    • Knowledge of warehouse processes and logistics KPIs (failure & damage ratio, cycle time ratio).

    • Ability to set priorities under time pressure.

    • Experience with continuous improvement projects and LEAN principles.
