Purpose of the job

Besides daily activities coordinating cycle count tasks, repack and rework requests, every day will see new challenges coming from internal stakeholders and customers. Your alignment on stock related subjects with warehouse colleagues and master data specialists is crucial for an effective warehouse operation. In case you notice potential improvements, you’ll take charge in advising and initiating solutions. You will be working in an enthusiastic team of people with a result driven mindset and an “every day better” mentality. 

Furthermore, you’ll be:

• Analyzing and reporting cycle counts results
• Registering and solving lost & found stock
• Analyzing and sharing root causes in case of stock discrepancies
• Supporting in solving customer complaints
• Maintaining item ABC classification
• Training of new team members
• Initiating improvements of storage methods and put away strategies
• Advising and initiating solutions to optimize warehouse occupancy
• Performing “what if” analysis to determine opportunities for innovation
• Perform other duties as assigned

The role will be combined with some minor activities related to claims (10-20% of your time) for which you need to: 

• Gathering and registering appropriate information and documentation in order to determine the legitimacy of a claim
• Investigating of received claims
• Creating and sending of liability letters in order to start the settling process between costumer, logistics provider and insurance.
• Administration of claims in SDS internal systems 
• Ensuring on time payment of compensation 
• Analysing and monitoring claims in order to define problem areas and suggest both short and long term solutions
• Escalating substantial claims to Head of Department
