We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager Freight Forwarding to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping Samsung SDS competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for retaining and growing our current customers, maximizing new business sales potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those to management.

Purpose of the job

  • Achieve growth with existing customers and hit sales targets with new customers;
  • Support HQ initiative project and implement business expansion strategy setup for RHQ, including upselling and cross selling with other RHQs;
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands our customer base and ensure its strong Freight Forwarding presence;
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and (Account Management) to understanding their needs;
  • Present sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team;
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status;
  • Develop, grow and support the new prospects/ target base on company’s procedures;
  • Support Customs Clearance (Import/Export) strategy setup;
  • Build a strong relationship with carriers / suppliers;

Profile

Our ideal candidate has a profile which consists of: 

  • Bachelor or Master degree in logistics or commercial study with experience in Freight Forwarding;
  • Existing network within the industry for future Prospects is strong plus;
  • 5 years of experience in a comparable role, including relevant supply chain experience in a complex logistics environment;
  • Communication skills in English, additional European languages or Korean are an advantage;
  • Project management experience;
  • Achievements in meeting Sales Goals;
  • Consultative Selling to Customer Needs;
