Purpose of the job

The European Operations Supervisor is located in Sumsung SDS HQ in Delft.

Key activities of the role are:

  • Support local European SDS branches with Operations, Reporting, Communication, Improvement Projects;
  • Be key contact for internal customer for your supported branches;
  • Provide customer with content on operations as effective as possible without interfering with local teams;
  • Improve business reporting templates (Security, Risk, Operations Scope, general issues, etc.);
  • (Innovative) Logistics project implementation. E.g. roll out of Ecommerce Best Practice in other countries;
  • KPI monitoring and analysis, then improvement proposals, process, projects and roll out;
  • Logistics cost saving result calculations and reporting for Europe;
  • Support Month End virtually and locally during peak season;
  • Month End closing, providing final day of the month status of Sales/Logistics achievements and issues.

Profile

For this role we are looking for a candidate with a positive and enthusiastic mindset, passion for logistics and strong motivation.
You need to be able to be:

  • Independent: Able to plan own projects and set priorities;
  • Responsible: Able to work towards and meet deadlines;
  • Quality: Accurate with an eye for detail;
  • Sensitivity: Strong communicator and cultural awareness.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years’ experience, preferably in logistics or supply chain;
  • Bachelor/Master education;
  • Advanced Excel skills – tested during interview;
  • System savvy;
  • Stakeholder management skills;
  • Affinity with Asian work culture;
  • Proficient level of English.
