Due to expanding the business, the External Business Team in Poznan, Poland is looking for a Logistics Operations and Sales Manager. This person is going to fill a newly created position within the company and report to General Manager Logistics Operations. A successful candidate would bring their business acumen and experience in selling logistics services, especially in sea freight.

Purpose of the job

  • As a Sales & Operations Manager you must know how to do basic operations management, and you will mainly work on sales, systems, and contracts. Until you first become familiar with the internal environment, you will mainly work on systems, contracts, and operations. In the future, you will be in charge of the Local Sales Manager and report to the General Manager.
  • Assisting General Manager Logistics Operations in settlement management, operations management and building up external sales policy
  • Directing and monitoring the workflow of the External Business Team
  • Acting as a liaison between the team leader and operations staff
  • Managing sourcing of customers B2B
  • Gaining new accounts within the area (Poland)
  • Building and maintain relationships with customers and assist and direct team members in sourcing and growing customer base
  • Developing sales / service strategies and solutions to maximize revenue growth
  • Expanding, maintaining, and managing multiple key account relationships by developing solutions that meet their cost and service objectives

Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in logistics and transportation
  • Previous sales-related experience necessary
  • English at a business level and native Polish
  • Experience with sea freight forwarding operations (export and import)
  • Road freight (overland / inland euroliner + container chassis trucking) experience nice to have
  • Air freight forwarding operations (export and import) experience nice to have
  • Ability to create new business and client relationships
  • Ability to effectively communicate and make sound business decisions
  • Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing circumstances
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner
  • Confident MS Excel user
  • Willingness to travel (max ~35%)
