To support our growing contract logistics business, we are looking for a fulltime Manager Operational Excellence. The purpose of the job is to set-up and launch Operational Excellence program for growing 3PL contract logistics business in EU region, enhance value for customers and be at core of growth and retention strategies, enhance value for internal stakeholders by driving continuous improvement program and smart solutions, and lay foundation for excellent organization.

Purpose of the job

  • Set-up Operational Excellence as a discipline in SDS
  • Develop Operational Excellence program for Samsung SDS warehouse sites, choose facilitating methods like Lean SixSigma, evaluation metrics and site assessment tool
  • Embed into contract logistics operations by site evaluation, change management, training program and local champions
  • Benchmark best practices inside and outside SDS, document as smart solution and make business case for future or instant implementation
  • Lead continuous improvement programs including investment proposal & budget control
  • Support site operations management in case of critical situations; able to lead site turnaround
  • Lead or support initial stage of new strategic projects
  • Support coordination with site & country management, with departments in (regional) headquarter, report to EU board
  • Support EU wide operations talent pool program
  • Build-up relationship network in Operational Excellence community



For this role we are looking for a Manager with experience in contract logistics operations and logistics development. Preferably has background in Operational Excellence at a logistics service provider.


To be successful it is important to be result-oriented, have strong communication and persuasion skills. Self-starter with structured work approach, ability to oversee wide scope. Easily connecting to other people. Perseverance and imperturbability to reach goals in complex and challenging working environment.



We are looking for an employee with:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Logistics/SCM/Engineering
  • Experience in contract logistics operations, warehousing & transport management
  • Leadership potential and experience as program or project manager
  • Track record with continuous improvement
  • Expert in Lean Six Sigma or prepared to study
  • A proficient level of English
  • Experience with WMS / TMS and ERP systems
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Open to other cultures and social environments
  • Able to travel within EU region
